{Frequently Asked Questions}

What payment options do you accept?

We are private pay. We can provide a Superbill with CPT codes you can submit to your insurance for out of network reimbursement. Payments can be made by cash, check, credit/debit, or Venmo.

Intensive therapy sessions deposit/balance can only be paid by check, Zelle, Venmo, or Cash app. We can provide resources for possible grant money available for Intensives.

What should I expect for my first visit?

Prior to the initial evaluation, our clinic intake forms will be emailed to you to be filled out and sent back to be reviewed for patient information with all consents obtained. The evaluation will include observation during play, hands on to assess any trunk or extremity tightness/restrictions and muscle tone, and assessing your child’s strength, balance, coordination, and sensory processing to come up with a plan of care with optimal goals initiated for your child. The physical therapy evaluation can be faxed over to your child’s PCP/Pediatrician to request orders if they have not been provided yet.

You do not need an order or referral for a Physical Therapy Evaluation. If services are recommended, we can send for orders from your PCP via fax.

What age groups do you service?

From Birth to 5-6 years old. DMI Intensive sessions may be based on a child’s weight up to approximately 35 lbs. for safe handling for the child and therapist. Exceptions for older children can be made on a case by case basis. DMI therapy can be modified for older children.

Why would a child need Physical Therapy?

Physical Therapy can provide treatment strategies to help a child work on developmental motor skill progression in order to be as independent as possible at home and in their communities. This can include functional goals of rolling, crawling, sitting, transitions, pulling to stand, cruising, walking, or higher level balance/coordination skills. We believe every child has potential and we will start with where your child is at and provide a customized plan of assisting with body alignment and strengthening to achieve goals that the parent needs support with!

How long are PT sessions?

Plan for at least 45-60 minutes for the initial evaluation. Treatment sessions then will be 55-60 minutes with a frequency that is needed for optimum progress to be made.

Intensive PT therapy sessions are for 1-3 weeks (Monday through Friday) duration for 2 sessions/day for 55-60 minutes each with a break as needed. (A deposit will need to be put down to book/reserve an intensive therapy session with the balance being due the week before the Intensive session starts)

What precautions are being taken for Covid and other contagious illnesses?

Please cancel your session with as much notice as possible if you or your child have had fever, diarrhea, or vomiting within 24 hours of the session. We disinfect all treatment surface areas and toys with a Clean Smart-Toy disinfectant that is non-toxic and kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria. We typically only have one family in the clinic at a time with at least 15-30 minutes scheduled between sessions for cleaning and hand washing. Hand sanitizer is provided in the waiting area.
